St. Maarten Red Cross Empowers New Responders and Disaster Coordinators

In a recent milestone for the St. Maarten Red Cross, we proudly announce the induction of five new Emergency Medical Responders (EMR) and four professional Basic Life Support (BLS) providers. These dedicated individuals have undergone rigorous training to enhance their ability to serve our community during emergencies.

But that’s not all! Our disaster team has also been hard at work. We’ve retrained them with a focus on specialized skills, resulting in the certification of five newly minted disaster team members. These team members bring expertise in shelter management, distribution logistics, and cash voucher assistance—critical areas that play a pivotal role in disaster response.

At the St. Maarten Red Cross, training is a year-round commitment. We believe that knowledge, skills, experience, and the right tools are essential for effective service delivery. Our volunteers exemplify this commitment—they stand ready to assist everyone, regardless of the situation.
